An ANO is a non-membership NPO, created on the basis of citizens' property contributions and (or) legal entities in order to provide services in the areas of education, health, culture, science and other areas of non-profit activities. The particular feature of this NPO type, which distinguishes it from, for example, a foundation, is that an ANO is created to provide a service and therefore has the right to directly engage in an entrepreneurial activity and use the income received to achieve its goals. ANOs must report on their activities to the Ministry of Justice.Â
