Zambia has recently developed the 7th National Development Plan (7NDP) to run from 2017 to 2021, to create a diversified and resilient economy for sustained growth and socio-economic transformation, driven by, among other things, agriculture.
Panelists Maketo Mulele, Director Planning, Ministry of National Development Planning and Vimbainashe Mukota, Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist, UN Resident Coordinator’s Office will share the experience and lessons from the process that Zambia has gone through, to assist countries that are yet to domesticate the SDGs or indeed the AU’s Agenda 2063, as well as those intending to move away from sectoral-based development planning to multi-sectoral based approaches to learn and prepare better.
