NGO Registration in Ghana

Setting up an NGO or a foundation in Ghana undergoes a two-step process. The first application should be made to the Registrar’s General Department for a Certificate to Commence Business and Certificate of Incorporation. In the second step, the Department of Social Welfare, which is the regulator of NGOs in Ghana, issues a recognition certificate before operations can commence.
