The Law on Social Entrepreneurship (Federal Law No. 245-FZ) entered into force in 2019, allowing small and medium-sized enterprises to qualify for the status of social enterprises. This status gives them the right to receive various kinds of support from the state, including property and information support. Unlike other types of NPOs, a social enterprise is primarily engaged in commercial activities, but this activity should be aimed at achieving socially beneficial goals.
