In Africa, the continent home to the largest youth population in the world, educators face a critical challenge: how to teach an ever-growing number of students using limited resources while also helping young people develop skills for the future. Entrepreneurship is a resourceful approach to funding education while also giving students and out-of-school youth a platform for gaining real-life professional experience.Â
The Pan-African Awards for Entrepreneurship in Education has recognized African-driven and African based organizations addressing skill gaps, financial insecurity and underemployment through innovative entrepreneurial education programmes.
With an emphasis on sustainability, the awards offer monetary prizes up to $15,000 as an investment in organisations whose inspirational work is transforming the futures of African Youth. Supported by The Saville Foundation and managed by Teach A Man To Fish, the Pan-African Awards combine the aims and expertise of both organisations.
Deadline: August 16, 2019.
