The third annual African Diaspora Investment Symposium 2018 brought about 250 global leaders, philanthropists, innovators, and entrepreneurs representing Africa, Europe, Canada, Australia, and the United States. The energy in the room was a reflection of each of our participant’s commitment to connect, learn, and share knowledge and resources.

The symposium, besides being a platform for networking, it is also a place for the idea and knowledge sharing.  Here are three specific action items that we are pursuing, as a result of ADIS. You can read details in the report.

  • Impact and Innovation Program: ADN has officially launched the Impact and Innovation program, created to address the challenge of the lack of working capital and to build on the opportunity to promote entrepreneurship and spur economic development on the Continent.
  • Africa Impact Investment Fund: ADN is exploring the ways in which we can develop an impact investment fund that can support entrepreneurs and grassroots organizations to scale projects and launch startups.
  • Mentorship: We seek to identify ways to engage the African Diaspora to be mentors to others in actionable ways.
