Community Guidelines

Community Guidelines

The community in a nutshell: Our community aims to foster conversations on SDG initiatives, events and social media across our global platform. We hope that you gain new knowledge, new partners, and innovative strategies to work towards the advancement of the Sustainable Development Goals.

Our community is an exciting place. Our partners come from different places around the globe, and from all walks of life. To ensure that all people can have conversations that feel safe to them when interacting with foundations, government stakeholders, the UN, philanthropists, and social innovators to advance progress towards the SDGs, we've created a few ground rules and standards. These guidelines will help you understand what type of interactions are allowed on the platform, and what type of content maybe reported and removed.

  • Respect: We encourage users to foster positive dialogues and conversation around the themes that we promote. Please do not post obscene, or explicit material. Hate language or threats to other members of the community are strictly prohibited. Your profile will be eliminated.

  • Language: You can use informal language, but please do not use curse words in English and other languages.

  • Copyrighted material: Do not post copyrighted material without permission (blogs, photos, events, initiatives, and projects).

  • Security: By joining our community, you agree to use your authentic name and identity or your organization’s. You may not publish the personal information of others without their consent.

  • Reporting Abuse: You can report content that you believe violates our terms. Our Community Managers are constantly reviewing content to make sure our site remains safe.

  • Violation of terms: To help balance the needs, safety and interests of our diverse community we may remove certain kinds of sensitive content. We have the right to remove content or users that violate our terms of use. You will receive a first green warning from us, and the content uploaded by you will be removed. If you receive a second (yellow), and third (red) warning we may restrict a person's ability to post content on the site or we may ban them for good. (And we really don’t want to do that!)

  • Spam: Help us stay spam-free by not asking users for money, posting repetitive comments on any type of content, or repeatedly contacting other users for commercial purposes.

As the SDGPP community grows and changes, so will the way we evaluate and enforce our community guidelines. It's up to us to ensure that our community remains a safe, and open place to showcase projects, initiatives and events around the SDGs.

Thank you for joining us in our efforts to foster innovative multi-stakeholder collaboration.
