Emmanuel Chikoya posed for a photo after a touch-point and calibration meeting on the implementation of the Church and Community Welfare Hubs which is an innovation to address a challenge to find solutions capable of real-time service tracking and response (availability, access, quality, delivery) for child services (health, education, social protection etc) at the community level in Zambia.
The welfare hubs is aimed to provide basic services focusing on simplified and decentralized birth registration assistance, monitoring of education and nutrition status of children (includes promotion of breastfeeding, neonatal and maternal health nutrition), fostering family bondage and child rights, and enhancing linkages to social welfare service providers and government ministries to children and youths at community level.
