In March 2017, SDG Philanthropy Platform supported the organization of the United Nations India Business Forum, held in Mumbai, India. Over 50 Indian business and government leaders have been gathered to partner in the SDG agenda and come up with innovative solutions that will transform change in the lives of millions of Indians. 6 thematic priority areas, namely Quality Education, Poverty, Health, Energy, Water & Sanitation and Gender Equality, have been largely discussed with the follow-up steps towards identification and implementation of scalable solutions being outlined.

 

Impact Achieved

The SDG Philanthropy Platform in India launched at a high level meet of corporate stalwarts in India's financial hub of Mumbai, aims to deepen partnerships to achieve the SDGs. India becomes the seventh country to launch the Platform, joining Colombia, Ghana, Kenya, Indonesia, United States and Zambia.
